From my studio in the picturesque village of Riebeek West, South Africa, I create elegant, handcrafted ceramic homeware that combines artistic refinement with timeless beauty.
Under the watchful eye of my loyal Labrador, Della, every piece is crafted with meticulous care and attention to detail, ensuring each item is a unique work of art.
These side plates are perfect for crusty bread when having soup, for your cake slice with tea or even for serving small portions of salad. However you use them, black just makes any meal look gorgeous.
PLEASE NOTE: Since I do not hold stock of these items, they need to be pre-ordered.
To make the Plate last and last I use a certified food safe / water-based sealer on the outside (tested and certified by EU Standards). It is a nano-technology and non-toxic product that embeds into the clay and is invisible, unlike other sealants. It is:
- Waterproof and Stain resistant
- Antibacterial (can help prevent formation of algae, moss, fungus, scale)
- Dishwasher, (microwave and oven for re-heating) safe. Provided they are not placed directly from fridge to hot oven or microwave.

These products have a black glaze as can be seen on the top half of each of the above products (see close up of the plate edge). The bottom half of the product reveals different Clay colours - which are Sand (a buff colour), Brick (a red/brown colour) and Ebony (black).
